2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 Detail Specs

Yamaha has introduced new Yamaha YZF-R1 after scoring their second AMA Pro Racing American SuperBike Championship in many years. The 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 is unlinke anything before. Benefitting from even more MotoGP technology for 2012 with new sevel-level traction control and the World GP 50th Anniversary livery option. The World GP livery includes a 50th Anniversary emblem on top of the fuel tank and a special numbered plate showing the production number of only 2000 units that will be produced worldwide. 
The 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 is powered by a 98cc, liquid-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with titanium intake valves.These special edition models will be sold and they will come in the Team Yamaha Blue/White, Raven, Pearl White/Candy Red and 50th Anniversary Pearl White/Rapid Red.

The 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 also comes with new upper fairing with a revised headlight cowl, giving the bike an aggressive and more modern styling cue, new LED position lights, new hexagon-shaped muffler caps, and heat shields for a sharper profile at the rear.
